ABOUT ME

Raised in Redding, CA, KC earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Chico State. Following graduation, she relocated to Sacramento, where she has resided for the past 23 years. Actively involved in the Colonial Heights neighborhood for two decades, she has organized events fostering community unity. KC acquired her real estate license a decade ago and finds joy in assisting individuals in buying and selling homes. Additionally, she strongly advocates for fair housing and home affordability.

KC believes we have a housing crisis because our government has chosen landlord’s profits over keeping people housed. Invitation Homes, a private equity firm, is the largest owner of single-family homes in California and was recently forced to pay $3.7 million in civil penalties due to rent gouging. KC will fight to build more affordable housing, bring back rent control, and fund mental health services.
KC has made a statement during recent forums for an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Hamas to end the violence and protect the lives of civilians. She has expressed her grave concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including the suffering of civilians and the lack of basic necessities such as food, water, and medical supplies.

KC is also a dog lover and has a Boston Terrier named Nellie and a Frenchie named Dexter.

NEWS

Get past the Realtor occupation title because KC has so much to offer. She has worked with neighbors to house individuals experiencing homelessness in our neighborhood and built a grassroots coalition to get much needed attention (that even the Neighborhood Association was not proactive in addressing) and representation that Colonial Heights lost because of the redistricting rules since our neighborhood is without real councilmember representation right now.

She and I have worked together to connect tenants experiencing landlord harassment with real time support and defense and during the pandemic she sought my guidance around some of the laws that protect tenants when an owner decides to sell.
Something I wish my old landlords realtor did instead of having to track down the new owner through Linkedin and send him a message telling him I had 120 days and would not be out in 60 days as he was expecting. Total nightmare experience. She truly understands that everyone deserves housing and needs a home. She's not a typical candidate who has gone through the "becoming an elected official pipeline" so she may get overlooked but District 6 deserves a councilmember who will balance the myriad of housing challenges fairly and wants nothing more than to see action happen. She needs your support. Please consider donating and/or sharing the information. Thanks so much!
